Private Prenatal Visits and Childbirth Education Classes:
I offer prenatal visits, without the on call and birth services.  This is an education visit that will help you and your partner prepare for labor and birth.  Each prenatal visit is geared to the individual clients needs and is based on the same information presented at my prenatal visit with birth services.  Prenatal visits are $75.00 for the first 2 hours and billed at an hourly rate of $22.00 after that. Usually these visits are a 2 to 3 hours depending on the clients needs.  Full childbirth education classes are available as well, contact me for details.

Organizational Visits:
Sometimes families get overwhelmed by what they need for their new baby and how to get organized before the arrival.  I can help you with the baby basics, organize nursery and areas that mom may need for feeding and changing. I can also arrange meal trains from family and friends who want to help after you arrive home with your new little one.

Organizational visits are $60.00 for the first 2 hours and billed at an hourly rate of $22.00 after that.

Gift Certificates and Baby Shower or Blessingway Options:
Gift certificates are available for all doula services and make a much appreciated shower, personal or holiday gift.   Baby Shower or blessingways services are available and are fit to each person’s desires and beliefs.  Services rates vary depending on doula involvement.

Bed Rest or Pregnancy Support
Services are provided for mothers who have been put on bed rest, have limits to their activities, or just need a helping hand before the baby arrives.  My role is much like the role of a Postpartum Doula and is charged on an hourly basis of $22.00 per hour.

Fees
Birth Doula Services are $650.00 and your investment includes all of the above.  I request a retainer fee due when you select me as your doula, and the balance of my fee at the prenatal visit.   My hope is to provide service to anyone interested and am willing to make payment and other arrangement as long as they are made in advance and are part of our contract.

Cesarean Birth
In the event of a planned cesarean birth, your “birth experience” may be different than what you hoped for. I can be with you and your partner before and after the birth to provide, reassurance, and help you cope with all the fears and anxieties of surgery. We will talk at our prenatal visit as to your birth wishes and make your birth experience all that it can be.  In most hospitals today only one person is allowed to accompany the mother in surgery, but doula support can be very helpful even if I am unable to attend the birth. I can take dad’s place at mom’s side in the event that dad has to go with baby to the nursery, so mom will never be left alone.  I can be a contact person between the two of you if needed as well.   I will be there once you are out of recovery and can provide comfort measures, breastfeeding support and help you with bonding time with your baby. In the event that you partner is not able to attend the surgery for, what ever reason, I can be your primary support person. I offer 6 hours of postpartum services once you are home if there is no on call time before the birth.  Additional postpartum services are billed at an hourly rate of $22.00 and inter into a postpartum contract.

Doula Apprentice Program

Doulas and clients interested contact me for more details and availability.

A doula apprentice program is sometimes available with childbirth and postpartum services.  This may offer a discount off of your fee for doula services and offer the benefit from the knowledge and service of a certified doula while mentoring an apprentice doula.

All apprentices are screened and have completed a doula training prior to attending a birth or any postpartum care. They are working on the next step of their doula certification. I would work closely with them to provide the same level of care I would proved to my clients.

In both Childbirth and Postpartum we will meet with you together for the interview.

As a Childbirth Doula we would do the prenatal visit together. If you are comfortable with the apprentice doula she will attend the birth for a discounted fee and will provide the postpartum visit as well.   I will be available at all times to answer any questions you may have.  Discount depends on services provided by myself and the apprentice doula. If you choose to have me attend the birth as well as the apprentice doula, my full fee will be charged, and you will benefit from the service of two doulas at your birth.

As a Postpartum Doula we would do the intake visit and first 3 hours of care together.  If you are comfortable with the apprentice doula she will provide your continuing support for a discounted fee. I will be available at all times to answers any questions you may have. Discount depends on services provided by myself and the apprentice doula.  If you choose to have me as well as the apprentice doula, my full hourly rate will apply and you will benefit from the service of two doulas in your home.

Extra Support and helping hands at any time in a family’s life

The role of a doula is to support the family and I look at my services as any support that a families may need.  My services can be used at other times of a family’s life not just the childbearing years.

These times may be special events such as a wedding, anniversary or family celebration. They could be during a family’s hard time with a family member’s health issue, or a death in the family, these are all times that extra support and helping hands can be useful.

My role is much like the role of a Postpartum Doula, with or without a newborn and is charged on an hourly basis of $22.00 per hour.
