Throughout history, women have turned to each other for information and comfort as they brought their babies into the world and nurtured their newborns. This age old practice has now come full-circle, with today's role of a doula.

A doula is a trusted woman, who provides experienced professional support, comfort, confidence, reassurance, resources, and education. Doulas have the very important role of nurturing women and their families, before, during, or after the arrival of their baby.

Doulas come in two varietiesChildbirth and Postpartum – both with the same premise...

A Childbirth or Labor Doula is there to provide emotional and physical support for the mother and father during one of life’s most intense and rewarding experiences, the birth of their child. Her continious support allow parents to get the most out of their birth experience.

A Postpartum Doula is there to mother the new mother once the baby comes home, helping with breastfeeding support, newborn care and household duties.

Both are trained to provide appropriate and non-judgmental support, information and practical assistance to new mothers and their families. Many mothers and their families find the services of a doula for birth and/or postpartum support both priceless and immeasurable.
